Embedded Systems Engineer - OS

Responsibilities


Design, develop, and configure system software for embedded medical devices. Responsible for rapid product development, including prototype design, implementation, and testing.

A demonstrated success in Embedded System design, deep knowledge of Linux or Kernel, C/C++ programming under Linux/Unix environments etc is fundamental for this job. We provide very competitive salary and benefits packages for qualified candidates

Requirements


  • B.S. degree in EE, Computer Engineering, computer science or related fields from one of the World's Top 50 ranked Technical Universities; a master’s or Ph.D. degree in in stated fields preferred.
  • Expertise in C Programming on Linux, Windows, and other UNIX environments required
  • Deep understand of Linux/Unix OS architectures
  • Software best practices including use of version control and unit tests.
  • Interprocess and network communication.
  • Instrumentation/mechanical process controls.
  • Performance and memory optimization.
  • Customizing and configuring system software.
  • Supporting and interfacing with a wide range of hardware peripherals.
  • Shell scripting.
  • Building Linux kernel and distributions.
  • Software packaging and release management.
  • Good team work and co-development skills.
  • Full life cycle product development.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Porting, cross-compiling, and debugging software.
  • Developing kernal modules.
  • Real time operating systems.
