Optics Engineer

The person in this position will become part of the R&D team responsible for the development of the next generation technology at the company. It is critical that this individual has excellent command of scientific and engineering fundamentals and is able to translate optical theory into functioning optical designs. Even more importantly, he/she must feel at ease using the skills and knowledge to problem-solve outside of their comfort-zone and learn on-the-fly if necessary.

Requirements
- Bachelor's/master's in optics, physics or engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in an academic or industrial lab environment.
- Experience with optical system modeling and analysis using Zemax or equivalent software.
- Experience with the use of optical metrology tools.
- Experience with optical systems alignment, test, and calibration.
- Experience converting optical bench designs to commercial designs a strong plus.
- Ability to function in a multi-disciplined team environment.
- Ability to perform experiments autonomously or under supervision.
- Excellent time management and data presentation skills.
