Senior Scientist (Chemistry)

A creative and energetic chemist. S/he will work in a multidisciplinary environment using chemical approaches to design and develop chemistry and conjugation methods.

Responsibilities


Responsibilities will include spectroscopic analysis and interpretation (e.g. UV-VIS, Fluorescence, HPLC, NMR), synthesis and characterization of small molecules. S/he will quickly develop competencies in additional techniques. These skills, together with knowledge in synthetic chemistry and bioconjugation methods, will be utilized in the solving of applied technical problems.

Requirements


The ideal candidate will have a PhD degree in organic chemistry (0-5 years industrial experience) with excellent knowledge of chemistry, bioconjugation, surface immobilization, heterobifunctional chemistry, hands-on attitude and an innovative approach to problem solving. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams is essential. Knowledge of labeling techniques is highly desirable Peptide chemistry experience is a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills will complete the profile.
